an X pipe is just that, a pipe shaped like an X. it flows gases more directly, and gives more power up top. an H pipe is shaped like an H and gives better low end power.

X pipe flows better and gives a nascar like sound, and is ideal for 4.6 engines.

H pipe is more of a classic muscle car sound, and works great for 5.0s.

just pick the one you want.

Yep, you'll only really notice the X-pipe at like 3,500 rpms and then you'll be impressed!

My next great idea: If magnaflow doesn't replace my X-pipes, I'm going to have thee cats cut out and gutted, then have them be modular, so I can have real cats on with 4 u-bolts, and hollowed ones fro the track/shows on in a few seconds!

h-pipe sounds better, x-pipe gives you a couple of extra hp at the top end. go with the h-pipe

I disagree... The H-pipe may be a little deeper, but the X's aren't far behnind and are MUCH better in the higher RPMS...

If you want the best of both worlds you could go pro-chamber.

check out how a DR. GAS X-PIPE sounds....sounds exactly like a h pipe, dr gas + flows = orgasm (thats the setup im going with). Dr. Gas use to have a video of a bunch of mustangs passing by with all different exhaust combos that really didnt sound any different and you could tell the mustang with X pipe cuz it was deeper and way more aggressive IMO it was an awesome video

Could anyone give me their opinion about these three exhaust systems. I have been looking over exhaust systems but can not decide which will be a better choice for my 04 gt. Ive been looking at the magnaflow catbacks, Steeda catbacks, SLP Loudmouth cats, and flowmasters. It will be great to hear your opinions, i appreciate it.

before you get a cat back get an x-pipe, h-pipe or some headers. It will still sound pretty decent until you finish it off.

I've got a roush with side exhaust, an off-road x-pipe, and single chamber flowmasters. It's loud as crap and sounds sweet. It has a deep sound with a looong idle. I'd definitely recommend the x-pipe.
