Ok Im driving my 88 Lx as a daily driver and since I got the car the the light for the shifter has been very dull (automatic tranny) and recently it completely died. so my question is how do I change the bulb/where is it?

 

That square trim around the shifter should lift up carefully ....

 

Ok so heres the deal today I had sometime so I pulled it all out and the light indeed works but what I dont understand is why it isnt a lightbulb. Its got a Green cover around the plug can I buy an alternate cover instead of green?
I know it sounds dumb but Id just like everything to be functional.
