fuel regulator??

Default fuel regulator??

i am doing a EFI to carb swap and i know the EFI fuel pump has wasy to much pressure to run with a carb. do i need to drop the tank and replcae the fuel pump or is it possible just to get a regulator for it to reduce the pressure??

Replace the pump and get a regulator. I use an Edelbrock electric pump with a Holley by-pass regulator.

i think you'd need to run a return to the tank with a stock electric pump because the regulator is going to be dropping the fuel pressure a lot and it will have a tendency to flood the motor if you can't send excess gas back to the tank

Don't have to have a return line. The regulator will only allow so much fuel to pass. A by-pass regulator like I have just gives consistant line pressure vs. the returnless style regulator.

so i do need the new pump too then? thats what i figured but i was just making sure. tyring not to spend money where its not necessary.
