weird idle

everyday the first time i start my car my rpms shoot way up, then drop down super low. but its a real quick up down up down thing.then it tries to turn off. anyone have a suggestion....

What year? have you tried cleaning the IAC valve and the t/b?

Sounds more like clogged injectors to me.
