85 GT Wiring Question
hey all,
I am a bit new here so I will try to explain this the best way I can. Me and my father have been working on his 85 mustang GT for a while now and swapped the 302 for a 351w. We also switched to Carberated from Fuel Injected. The car is almost complete after four months of work but the only problem now is that we need to bypass the computer so that power is given to needed components such as the distributor. We have gotten the car to turn over but the spark plugs naturally dont spark. Does anyone know where to find a guide for bypassing the computer? If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You,
sdwrage

RE: 85 GT Wiring Question
I thought '85GTs were carburated? Or is yours a California car?
As for converting from fuel injection to carb, you must also toss out the original distributor & replace it with aftermarket. I don't think there's anyway to have the computer can still control timing without the fuel injection component too
