Default Ford Questionnaires

I purchased an ’06 Ford Mustang GT back in February so I’ve almost had it for a year now. It’s a fantastic car and I’m just as excited today as I was the day I brought it home. I LOVE driving it around town.

When I purchased the car I received like 4-5 questionnaires from different sources asking what I thought of the new car and how I was treated when I purchased it and such. When I drove the car off the lot I was told I HAD to mark the salesman questionnaire all excellent or they would lose tons of money. Ok … no prob, so I marked all excellent on that questionnaire and sent it back. Shortly after that I received another questionnaire from Ford asking what I thought of the car itself. This was my first new car purchase so I’ve never filled 1 of these out before but I put down my honest answers as I thought was fair. I didn’t mark all answers excellent which I guess bent someone out of shape because I got 2-3 phone calls.

This kind of pissed me off a little bit … the scores I gave lower than excellent I felt deserved the score I gave … I had no clue I would receive harassing phone calls multiple times trying to talk me into a score THEY wanted me to put down. These phone calls lasted quite a while, going through each answer they thought was unacceptable. I had no clue they held these questionnaires in such high regard.

“What can we do to raise these scores to all excellent?” I don’t know … what CAN we do to raise these scores to all excellent? I have quite a few payments left on this new car. Maybe if some of those payments suddenly vanished then my answers might suddenly change. Hmm?

I’m just curious as to how many others got multiple phone calls (border-line harassing) asking the same type of thing when they purchased their Mustang?

I don’t have anything against Ford and yes I will definitely shop there again, I just didn’t quite know what she was asking for I guess … 1st, 2nd or the 3rd time she asked the same thing. [:@]

There must have been a reason the score wasn't "excellent" on every question.Tell them the reason. It will lead to better cars in the future.
When answering questionairs I look to see who sent them.If it's from Ford I tell them everything that's wrong with the car,if it's from some other consumer organization my responses are nothing but rainbows and lollipops. This way Ford gets the real problems we are having and the media gets to hear about how Mustangs are the best cars in the world.

So, what are a couple examples of things you marked to be less than perfect? And what sort of things were the people on the phone trying to say? If for example you commented the seats weren't comfortable enough, maybe they were just wanting to hear more detail? I'm not surprised they phoned you for more info, but not sure why they'd phone you repeatedly for the same issues(?)

I bought my Stang used, but from a Ford dealership. One of the perks of the sale was they threw in free oil changes for the first 2 years & that was a nice perk. But as I soon found out, the next day after an oil change I'd come home from work to get a message on my answering machine, from the Ford dealershop asking me to comment on the service I just received. I guess that's just their way of keeping me as a potential future customer, but I never bothered phoning them back. I doubt a jiffy-lube place woulda done the same thing
