CAN SLIPPING CLUTCH CAUSE T/C TO ENGAGE???
Does anyone know if your clutch starts to slip it will engage your traction controll?
About a month ago i shifted into 4th hard and my T/C engaged, i just thought it was because it was early in the morning and there was still moisture on the road. But today it did it again and the road was dry, also my tires are only 2 months old so it cant be that.

I thought traction control had to do with
left to right slippage. I guess you could
just depress clutch a little under acceloration
and see if it happens.
If you have a slipping clutch, I would worry
more about fixing that first.

No, traction control has to do with front-to-rear wheel slippage not left to right. If it senses the rear wheels are spinning faster than the front wheels it will engage. So even a badly slipping clutch would have no impact on traction control.

The only way that it would bring T/C on would be if it caused wheel hop. T/C engages when it feels wheel hop and it retardes your timing a bit till the wheel hop stops.
