Default Underdrive Pulleys?

I want to purchase a set of underdrive pulleys, and I'm wondering which to get. I like the BBK's because they're chrome, but will they give me the best horsepower gains? Any input would help, thanx.

Yeah i would recommend a set of Steedas, but be careful with those underdrive pulleys. I have a friend with pulleys on his truck and they made the A/C virtually useless.

As long as you use the complete set and not just one or two of the three then you will be safe. The whole point behind the underdrive pully is to slow the accessories down by 25% thus allowing the engine to spin up faster and more freely. They will add up to 10 hp depending on your application. I have them and live in Tx with 100+ degree summer weather and have never experienced overheating. I also run the lights, AC, and raido along with charging my phone and never have had voltage problem out of the ALT. Go for it but if your car is still under warranty then it would be smart to discuss modifications with your local Ford Dealer service manager to make sure they wont void your warranty. Some dealers are touchy about it and some over look them.

I'm considering a pulley kit also. The only thing is that I have 2 400watt amps pushing my system. Do they make pulley kits that work with high watt stereos?

You will need to upgrade to a better Alt. You will drag the system down pretty bad with a system like that. I wouldnt take the chance.

I heard to go steeda b/c it's not a piggy-back design on the crank pulley, but March doesn't have their reputation of quality for nothing.

I've heard that the FMS ones are crappy and the finish flakes off.
