Headlights aiming way off. How do I adjust them?
Last week I installed new headlights (the whole assembly, not the bulbs) and when they are turned on, myrightlight isshining muchfarther down the road than my left one is. So,the left one seems to be pointing more downwards than the right one is. How can I go about adjusting them so that they shine properly down the road? It is a 1995 model. Thanks
Be patient, someone will reply with more accurate instructions, but there should be adjustment screws that you can turn to aim the light vertically and horizontally. There are three on my model, not sure about yours though.
Pull up to the side of a building, garage door(or other large structure) approx 5 feet away... adjust the lights to about level and straight ahead, you'll see where the main beam is... Back up a few feet and do it again... Depending on how accurate you want them, back up a few more feet andkeep doing the sane thing... It will work in daylight (till the lights wash out) but night is better...
