Default WyoTech

Well I just had an interview with a Wyotech rep. and put my money in to reserve my class, I'll be starting in Jan. and going for Diesel Technology and Chassis Fabrication, and High Performance engines. Has anyone attended this school or heard anything about it. The price is pretty steep (22K school, 4700 room), but I'm hoping it's worth it. It's sponsored by Peterbilt, Kenworth, Banks Power, Car and Driver, Horsepower TV, BMW of north America, John Deere, and some others I can't remember now. Any input is appreciated.

Hey Shadow, two of my friends go to wytech, and they love it, they say it is a great, top of the line education. They said it was expensive but well worth it. I'd say go for it!!

Yea, I went to Wyotech For auto tech and managment about a year ago at the PA campus. Its a good school to go to. the only thing the people dont like is how strict they are about being shaved every day, keeping your hait cut, the dress code, stuff like that. but ull lean alot there. Good luck[sm=smiley20.gif]

From what I've heard... it's one of the top schools in the country for Mechanics over-all. I chose Wyotech because it allows you to take a core class with a secondary, so I can work with diesels along with chassis fab, suspension and High performance engines I also considered UTI. Wyotech does have 6 campuses... Laramie WY, Blairsville PA Boston MA, and Sacramento, Oakland, Fremont in CA. I heard from my recruiter that the rules are pretty strict such as clean shaved, no alcohol in the dorms, no pearcing, no baggy pants, shirt tucked in, also if you miss 3 days or have 10 tardies in 9 months you're done. But I just served 6 years in the military without a single missed day of work so that shouldn't be a problem.
