Annoying grind
I have a 99 Cobra with about 95000 miles on it. I had a SPEC clutch and billet aluminum flywheel installed in it about 9 months ago. Just recently my car has starting making a grinding/whining sound when the clutch just starts to engage (first gear or reverse) It usually happens when the engine is cold. The sounds seems to be coming right up from under the center console. I've taken my car to the original shop and another shop and they both said that the clutch was fine. Help please! Thanks for any advice.

RE: Annoying grind
Well the only thing around the console that can make a grinding noise is the tranny gears,. does it make the noise while you're putting it into 1st or reverse? Or after you've already picked the gear and are releasing the clutch to get the car moving?
