Default Quick Question

I am in the researching phase of buying a Mustang. I like the body style of the 1994-1998 Mustangs, and the prices for them. I am wanting to stay in the 5000 to 7000 price range. I also like the foxbodies as well. Which of the Mustangs are the most reliable, easy to upgrade, etc.....

Thanks again
Mathew

I'd definately go with a 97 or 98. I'm not just saying that because I have a 98, but because my brother has a 95 vert and unless you plan to change a bunch of things like tail lights, rims, etc, it looks way more feminine. from the inside, it's the same car, though. just the 98 has a little more edgy exterior styling.

also, I got my car for $4100 with 100,000 on it and in decent condition. I've had it for like 7 months, almost 8, and the only non-routine thing I've had to replace was the water pump ($70 for the pump). other than that, it was brakes, tires, etc. a great car, none the less.

Yeah I am not much for the foxbody style. What is the difference in power between the 5.0 and 4.6?

I bought my 02 for $7300 with 60k. All it needed was tires, and it was completely stock and unabused. As you can see I went a little further than a set of tires on crappy 16's. I got it in Houston after about 2 months of shopping. Just look around for a while, january and february are the best months to buy cars, it's tax season.

go with the Fox...they are more distinct than the newer bubble styles that look like all the other cars on the road nowadays..the "wedgy" angular stylingof the Fox can look quite aggressive for the size of the car.

Aren't the fox bodies smaller, only reason I ask is because I am 6'3" and I want to be as comfortable as possible. Looking on Edmunds.com, I noticed out of the 94-98 body styles the 1996 was the lightest in the curb weight, anyone know why?

Yeah the foxes are small. I am 6' 2" and I sometimes find the headroom to be a bit tight but he leg room is fine as the seats are pretty far back as compared to other cars fo the same size. Remember, the back seats of the foxes are barely useable as the front seat is so far back.
