Default Suspension Help

Me and a friend were out driving yesterday and he (also a 'Stang owner) said that a good upgrade for my 07GT would be to focus on the suspension. Help it corner better.

Problem is, I know jack squat about suspensions, apart from that there's a sping and a piston thing and it keeps my **** in one piece.

Can someone explained the following and whether or not it's worth upgrading?:

Control Arms
Uppers
Cambers
Bushings

And should I also consider new struts/shocks?

Default RE: Suspension Help

you're friend is right - mustangs have plenty of power in stock trim but they benefit greatly from suspension/ chassis mods. maximum motorsports have some great info about all of this stuff. they are the experts IMO.

here is my $0.08 - two cents plus tax:
stronger lower rear control arms will flex less under heavy acceleration and limit traction robbing wheelhop
poly bushings are not as soft as the stock rubber
camber/caster plates are necessary to realign the geometry of the car if lowered with new springs, shocks/struts and will reduce tire wear
strut tower brace, subframe connectors, k-member brace stiffen the chassis to limit flex under hard cornering
anti-roll bars (sway bars)limit body roll (lateral weight transfer) under hard cornering but can negatively effect the handling of the car and should be considered as upgrades once the handling characteristics of the car are fully understood.
