Default Power seats = big hassle

The other day I discovered that the power drivers seat in my Mustang could go forward, backward, and up, but not down anymore. Upon investigation, it seemed as though the motor which operates the "up and down" motion was reciveing power to make the seat go up, but not getting any power to go down. I figured the switch attatched to the seat, which operates the motion via a small lever, was not making a connection when pushed down. So, me being the genious that I am, decided to overide the switch and make a direct connection between the two wires (in the switch) that would result in the seat moving down. And of course I accidentally crossed two wires that I should not have and, sparks flew. Now, none of the motors to make the seat move are working. Doesn't move in any direction. I checked the fuses, and found NONE are blown.

Any ideas on what now? Haynes does not cover any of this type of situation (probably because it is so menial, but still, a pain in the ***). Is there a seperate fuse somewhere just for the motors under the seat? Or did I fry the motors when I shorted the electrical connection? I'm at a loss here. Any help is much appreciated.

I can't find any other fuse in the diagrams other than the one in the engine compartment. If it didn't blow then you definitely fried the motor. I am assuming you looked at not just under dash fuses, but the ones under the hood as well. That's where your seat fuse is located. It looks like the only thing connected to that fuse is the power seat motors.

If you decide you need the wiring schematics let me know, but they're pretty lame. Not a great deal of detail... Of course, it's not that complicated a system either.
