England SVA test
as title, this is a slip of paper to say that the imported car is roadworthy for british roads, when I import a Mustang next year I will have to...alter the front headlights, add side indicators, add rear indicators, add rear foglights, add mirror housing (not to sure on this one) all of these also need the wiring loom and ECU fault management system adjusted for the changes to the exterior lighting configurations! and on top of the stupidly high price i will get charged to make these alterations, fuel has gone up in price over here again! in most places its just over $7 a gallon[sm=sigh.gif]

no not a statement just a follow on from my posing a few weeks ago regarding shipping a mustang over to England,I was looking to ship over a Cobra SVT but having now seen the new 2005 model which is totaly gorgeous with the retro looks,is now top of my shopping list, and yes xRockThePonyx for us foreigners they are expensive a brand new 2005 model GT premium wil set me back approx $45,000[sm=idontcare.gif] cos i know its going to be worth it[sm=smiley20.gif]

RE: England SVA test
they dont make right hand drive models,I am having a left hander, bit tricky to use over here when wanting to overtake lorries and buses etc the work i listed above is what is needed for it to pass inspection over here to be legal on our roads,we have to have seperate orange indicators on the rear over here, damn stupid english government! thing is over here if the import is 10 or more years old it doesnt need any modifications done as it can be driven as-is!

RE: England SVA test
that being the case, I would look for an older one myself, but I'm part Scotish and just thrifty I guess. LOL
Our rules over here for importing autos are probably just as bad if not worse, I know they have to pass US emissions standards and have speedos in miles per hour and meet certain crash standards too. this keeps lots of cars out, just like it does in England. protects the domestic auto industry in each country by making it harder (i.e. more expensive) for imports to be brought in.
