I'd go for a Fox. I think it's cheaper and easier to get power from the 302. Plus from what I hear the bottom end (stock) is really tough and can stand up to a lot of abuse.
94-95 is what i'd get if you like the 5.0 and the 94-98 body style. the 5.0's are good for raw power because of the OHV design, wich is a lower revving torque monster. more parts out there too.
I'd go with the fox body that's in good condition, or restore one. There are fewer of them around that's in good shape, and in my opinion they are the best looking. To me they just seem more racier, but the newer ones look more musclular. I guess it's just a matter of preference there.
