Default Aftermarket Tach problem??

I just boughtan aftermarket tachometer with shift light and wired it up in spot of my other aftermarkettach...(i'm upgrading) but heres my problem ..it doesn't respond fast enough when i press the gas..its slower then my other one..which is throwing off accuracy... Do i need to buy a Tach Driver seperately to get it working right...or is this just how it is.. if soo im just gonna wire up my old one again...

Throw it away and get an Autometer.Better yet,you don't need a tach at all if you have a shift light.I have a Raptor shift light and it works perfectly.
