ok i have a 65 coupe

and my headlights run for about 15-30 mins

but after that they start to flicker on and off

any ideas on what to do???

Replace the headlight switch.

 

id say that maybe your battery is dead? jutst enough to start the engine. then the altenator is old and cant power the lights. thats why they would flicker

 

i'd second the headlamp switch too
they just get weak with time, its a common problem
my old ford pu the floor dimmer was real e-z to bump and make the lites go off too .................. always exciting just as you come up to corners, just like the headlamps would do with faulty switches !
been there done that ......................
