I'm a newbie too, but this place is awsome, and everyone really is here to help each other. We all share a common love for Ford, metal and gasoline. When you first start wrenching, just remember.. If you look at the car in sections,( fuel delivery, suspension, brake systems, charging, starting etc.) it's really not so difficult, or overwhelming. WELCOME!

if you decide you want to under take a task, start small...don't go tearing down an engine before you know what a camshaft does. www.howstuffworks.com is a good place to get your bearings on the basics of an internal combustion engine, transmission and rear end. Many people here are not keen on many of the aspects themselves, so don't feel overwhelmed by the information. Just take your time and you'll find yourself having an enjoyable car...oh and don't forget to have PLENTY of patience when working with cars
Oh and if you want this to be a project car, please have a game plan about what you really want out of the car
