Go with the 5.0
There is a bigger aftermarket for the 5.0 than the 4.6.

Yea a bigger aftermarket for 5.0's, but that's only good if you're planning on modding the engine. If you're planning on keeping it mostly stock, go with the 4.6

I would recommend niether. Go with a pre 93 or get the 260hp 4.6L if stock performance or near stock performance is important to you.

5.0 was my all time favorite, prior to my current one of course.

I would get a 5.0 for my next just for the fact that you can make a Clevor out of it, that is a project that I am just chompin at the bit to get a chance to do. I have done 4.6L and 3.8L's and the 4.6L are fun but there is a lot of work dealing with them and they just have no old school cool **** about them.

For baddass modding I would go with the 5.0L
For more stock I would go with a 4.6L with the PI heads and intake, or better yet a 4V. Honestly I dont know if I would ever get a 2V GT, even the PI because the 4V is just so much better impo.

I had a 70' Chevelle 396 as my first car and I loved the ease of old school, my 2nd car was a 75' El Camino with a 350 that again I loved how easy it was to make power and keep running in perfect condition. My 3rd car was an 87' T-Bird with the 3.8L in it and I didnt really care for the new electronics, it was harder to maintain and if something went wrong more often than not it was more expensive than the old schools.

Now that I am into Mod Motors I can really respect the old school.

+1 5.0

I love my 95. Although it's still a 5.0, it's a bit more expensive to mod than the older GTs (pre 1994) but not by a lot.I was still able to easily reach 430 RWHP without spending a lot of money. I love the cheap mods.

Get the 5.0. Its cheaper to mod and faster stock for stock than a 96-98 GT.
