Head gasket for sure[>:]Probably went when the car overheated the first time due to the fan not running. The aluminum heads on modern cars will not tolerate even one severe overheating episode.Warps and cracks are the result.Unfortunately both heads could be affected.Small imperfections can be milled out but cracks and large warps cannot. This will call for a replacement.Scrap yards might be a good place to start looking.Or if you are going to keep the car for awhile look to the aftermarket for some really good heads.

changing the head gasket is going to be very expensive if you dont do it yourself. it involves taking out the ac pump, alt. intake hose, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, fuel injectors and rails, that pipe that connects the two pipes in the back and probably more i cant think off. if the heads and block are ok, parts are cheap....a new gasket is $65ish but labor my be $1200. be sure you go some where you trust.

these are things I would do to findout youre head gasket or head is cracked.

1.) pull youre oil dipstick out check and see if their is any yellowish flim in youre motor oil.

2.) Do a check on spark plugs see if they are coated with white deposits and get cyl compression checked.

3.) check all hoses upper and lower hoses / heater core hoses, frost plugs block etc.

4.) check for any coolant leaks on youre intake manifold.

Good Luck.
