How about not typing in all caps, it's hard to read.
IMO the 03/04 Cobras are a great buy and very resposive to mods. Mach1's are not supercharged, but are a 4 valve engine, they are the nest best thing to a 03/04 Cobra. BTW this information is all over the site, try a search or just browse some threads, there is a ton of info here.

WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT US?
If you don't want the new body style you have to take the 05 Mustang out that is the first year of the new body style. Mach's and Cobra's last year was 2004

I would take the Cobra over the Mach1, but both cars are awesome, if you aren't going to do much to it but still want a pretty fast car go with the Cobra, but if you don't need that much speed the Mach will do just fine.

I would buy an 03/04 Cobra, there is so much that you can do with them and the internals are forged. Diablosport produced over 1100hp on a stock engine with just a supercharger swap, tuning and some bolt ons.

The Mach1 is great for those who like NA cars and is very responsive to power adders too, but if you are going that way then you may as well get the Cobra. If you decide to buy a Mach1 make sure that you get the Manual version, the crank is Forged on the manual version where the Automatic version is a cast peice.

You can pick up a Mach1 for about $12k if you shop around, but can expect to see prices ranging up to $18k, it is a collectors car after all.

I have notticed the 03/04 Cobra dropping in price quite a bit, a local dealership (Friendly Ford of Springfield Mo.) has one with under 40k miles for only $22k, not bad for a dealership. You can expect to see a private seller sell for around 18k - 20k or so. Just gotta check those papers and search the net.

Best of luck.

Are you looking for collector cars? The Mach 1's were not numbered so being able to say "Yeah I have this number out of 5000" isn't going to happen with the Mach 1. The Cobra's are numbered, you will be able to do more stuff to them for a lot less than the Mach 1. Personally, I would LOVE a Mach 1. I love the shaker, like the screamin' yellow 04's, and I really like the seats in the Mach 1. The instrument cluster has kind of a retro look. just my .02cents.

If you want/need a auto trans or want a solid rear axle, then the Mach is the one. Cobra has neither. If you want/need a convertible, six-speed or independant rear end, then it is '03-'04 Cobras. Both are great cars and you can't go wrong with either one.

You can see which number in production the mustang was, and inquiring within ford will give you an answer as to which number Mach1 you have. Its the same will all Fords that had a VIN. Infact its an international standard that started god knows when.

If you get the Mach1 because you need an Auto I strongly suggest buying a Manual version then fixing an 8blt flexplate to it and getting the auto for it, it will be way stronger because of the forged crank, though nothing else is. Of course if you are going to go to that extreem then you can get a Cobra too and do that

Making the Mach1 go into Terminator Land is possible with bolt ons, but good luck touching Modded Terminator's, that requires a fairly extreem NA build to get into Modded T-Land or a T or TT or SC kit on the stock bottom end will get you there too, of course you have to stay below 600rwhp on a stock bottom end for the Mach1, even a prepped block still isnt much more. So you are limited to the actual Engine cast potential where as the Terminator can rocket to 1200hp on a stock bottom end (Resource: DiabloSport.)

Oh, by the way..... 03/04 Cobra's AKA Terminator's and the Shelby GT500 is Condor.

Take lots of pix when you get your new baby, we all would love to see her.

Get a cobra if you can afford it.
