i can't afford anymore tickets!! so as a light (meaning i won't entirely depend on it) i'm purchacing a radar detector: whistler DE-1788.
anyone have this (or any, if so what) model? how do you like it?
heres the link if you wanna check it out: http://www.buyradardetectors.com/pro...r-de-1788.aspx
Do not buy cordless radar detectors, the detection range is not as good as one that uses the 12 volts from the car.
Also as the batteries get weak the detection range goes down as well.
Look at the Whistler Pro 58 or 73 series or the Whistler XTR 560 if you want to stay in that price range.

i have the passport solo the cordless one... in MA they take your license if youget 3 tickets before your 18... im still 16 and i wouldnt have a license without it.. its cheaper then the v1, and cordless, but my uncle has a v1 n it blows mine away... mine works good but those things are rediculous... i wouldnt recommend cordless theyre less powerfulbut mine was a hand me down.. the passports are good for the money though
