i can't afford anymore tickets!! so as a light (meaning i won't entirely depend on it) i'm purchacing a radar detector: whistler DE-1788.
anyone have this (or any, if so what) model? how do you like it?

I have one and the guys I ride to work with are absolutely dumbfounded by it's range and accuracy.They really like the directional arrows.You can pick up and unmarked car out of a line of vehicles in total darkness with fog.

ha yeah that's why i said i wasn't relying on a radar system i'm just playing it safe(r) by getting one, just to make sure that i don't get ANY more tickets until i'm 25 (6 years...).

well it's just that i'd be paying $300 more for a v1 and i'm saving for new exhaust which is hopefully getting a move on very soon.

Yeah, so as soon as you get that new exhaust you're going to want to drive WFO up and down Main St. with your radar detector looking out for you right?

but that three hundred that you could spend on the v1 could be less than the tickets you have to pay
