Sway bars in the rear tie the lower control arms together, keeping body roll in turns to a minimum. A panhard bar ties the rear end to the frame so that the rear end doesnt move from side to side when your cornering. That'll be $5 please.

Fox Mustangs don't come with panhard bars, they rely on the angle of the upper control arms to hold the rear in place, but this ain't the best method for this, so high performance street drivers add a panhard rod for better cornering. having both a sway bar and a panhard rod is the best handling set up for street driving.

A Panhard Bar controls the rear axle. It limits the lateral movement of the rear axle during hard cornering making the car much more predictable in the corners
compared to stock. An anti-sway bar controls the twist of the suspension and works well when a force is acted upon it. A sway bar can induce understeer or oversteer
depending on the size and location. If you just put one on in the front the car will understeer. If you put one on the back it will oversteer causing the car to spin out
of control and understeer will seem like when you turn the car still wants to remain straight making it hard to steer on hard cornering situations. Thats just my opinion you
my ask around and find out more.

ok, well - i want to gradually (just cuz i dont wanna drop all the cash at once, and i want to see the effects of htings as they are added) upgrade suspension - i want to add subframes first - after taht would i want to add rear sway or panhard bar? or would i want control arms, shocks/springs, tires/rims or somethying else first?

Good idea. That what I am doing with my suspension upgrades as well. Install one part and test and you can see the
benefits of that part installed. Then move on. MM says to do chassis bracing first then, springs and shocks, then sway
bars polyurethane bushings and lastly tires. Good luck and have patience.
