well im getting paid in a few days and after driving my car a few weeks i think its time for exhaust and headers. my brother in law has some brand new shorty headers i think im gonna buy, but as far as exhaust i was wondering about the off road x pipe. i dont mind a mean sounding exhaust, but i dont want something that is deafening or anything. i can cope with a fix-it ticket or two (my brother writes em off hes a cop) but i dont wanna be pulled over every time i drive through town. any recommended brands? also what would you do as a next step? i dont goal in mind im just taking in opinions and thinking things over at this stage. the car by th way is a stock 93 gt, runs very well, 90,000 miles. any help or opinions are very much appreciated. thanks.

 

Good idea about the headers and exhaust to help that baby breath......you should take care of your air silencer and maybe put a CAI in...think about gears too if you want them

If you got the money I'd go with the full exhaust and then get the gears. but then again everyone has their own opinoin.

 

If you wanna wake up your car then get gears. If you wanna make your car "sound" like a mustang then get exhaust. Cant go wrong w/either

 

shorty headers with an off road H or X pipe with some decent mufflers will not be too loud on the street! I say go for it and then get some gears in that Stang to really wake it up some!
