Ok, I have the alt. and water pump pulleys off and the belt is off too...

My car is an auto, so when I try to turn the crank bolt the whole assembly turns. My impact gun won't fit to get on the bolt either. I tried holding the tq. converter, but it never stays...

What should I do?

How do you get the fan out????

 

use a wrench & put a cheater bar on it of some sort, then hit the bar with a rubber mallet, piece of wood, or something like that...If that doesn't work get a flamethrower. J/k about the flamethrower.

 

The whole assembly ie pulley, tq converter, just rotates with it... a piece of wood isn't going ot cut it, but thanks...
