Hey, what is the function of a Fan Shroud... 86GT i am looking into buying seems to not have one lookin at the engine bay shot. How much is the part and installation?

 

A fan shroud concentrates and accellerates the air through the radiator, keeping the engine cooler. You could probably pick one up at a wrecking yard for ten bucks. It attaches with two bolts. You ought to be able to take care of it yourself in about five minutes tops.

Fan shroud also helps prevent you from slicing your fingers off when working under the hood with a running engine
