starter does not turn over when car is hot
I have a problem that is driving me crazy. The car starts fine when cold but after driving the car for about 10 miles and it gets nice andhot and then you park it for a couple of minutes the car will not start. When I say doesn't start, I mean it doesn't even turn over. If you leave it set there for about ten minutes or so, itstarts right up.
Any ideas?
is it old.. mine did the same thing,. its time for a new starter.. the spring that pushes the gear into the flywheel is getting stuck and spinning the crap out of ur starter.. run ur car for a while and feel ur starter.. if it is to hot to touch then its junk. if its not then idk
sounds like a starter prob for sure, odly enough my Chevelle and El-Caminog had this problem all of the time, and even with new starters.
I happen to have a new starter from an 03' Mach1 for sale if your interested. It has about 10 starts on it and then thats it. It was a ford test car and wrecked in the rear. I got the front half, I also have other parts too.
I would strongly suggest a new starter from a store with a warenty though, just for that purpose, so go get a store bought one to be safe
