whats the biggest cam i can put in my 302? stock block and heads p&p, is it the b cam? any ideas? thanks gotta pass cali emissions

 

big cam + passing emissions = don't put those words together. I don't think even a B cam is anywhere near emissions legal but Im not sure.

 

everyone around here were i live are using th bcam because it pass's smog.....

What kind is it, how do you like it, and how long have you had it?

so that means you can give me a good deal then.... well your pretty cool.... i was going to get that cam most likely anyways..... as for the centerforce, i got it when i got the car, and its got less than 8k on it, and its toast... its a centerforce 2 or somethin like that, it sucks, its going as soon as i pull the trans out[:@]

 

I had a .542/.542 x cam in mine with P&P OE heads.

 

the E303 cam is listed as 50 state emissions legal in the latest Ford Racing Performance Parts catalog--part number M-6250-E303.
the B, F, X and Z cams are not shown as emission legal.
and the E has more lift than the B cam does.

 

how was you able to run that cam with stock pistons?

my centerforce hasn't given me problems yet.........the ears on the clutch is what i heard was the weakest link. it's been in there for almost 2 yrs now,and trust me i beat the hell out of it.
