if someone could help me out would be great . i have a 85 gt 5 speed and someone told me that a 4cyl 5 speed tranny would work also can any help me out with that guy told me he has a 90 lx notchback 5.0 and thats what is in his a 4cyl tranny but i dont wanna buy one and take chance wont work and if can help me out and know alot bout them if it would work is there anything i have to change or will it jus bolt up ... thanks ....

 

yeah, a four cylinder t5 will work. you have to use the 5.0 bellhousing and use the correct pilot shaft bearing (4 cyl use a smaller input shaft), I dont remember the right part number right off hand but you can do a search and find it easy enough... Be warned though, the 4cyl are surpose to be a little weaker than the 5.0, but then again they all suck and the 4cyl ones are alot cheaper and alot easier to find...
