Default Fits Like a Glove

I used the Chevy S10 4cyl to small block adapter and engine mount from JEG's...it's like it was almost designed for the mustang...lines right up with the K-Member...it's not just close...it acutally lines up perfectly!!

Now what is this suppoise to do for you? Is this moving the engine back, putting something other than a windsor motor in or just taking a stock 4cyl fox body and using the mounts to drop a V8 into it.

Sorry for the questions, I am just not familiar with this mod.

Actually looking at that suspension it strongly looks like a 71-73 to me. For sure not a fox!

hehe...good guess though...i gues you don't know your suspensions that well...mind you..my car has enough rust on it that it could have been a 73.

not like it really matters...i wouldn't do this to a nice mustang...this one was headed to the dump as it is pretty rusty...just wanted to do something different wth it....the wiring was all hacked up...it would be nearly impossible for me to hookup the computer and EFI and all the other sensors to get it to run anyhow.

It still amazes me how nicely the chev engine and transmission sit in the stang. The engine is about 3/4 inch more forward in the bay than a 302 due to the fact that the chev distributor is at the back and the firewall is not recessed in a stang.

The transmision cross member lines up and the end of the tailshaft is in the same position as the original mustang tranny. Had to narow the bolt holes in the tranny crossmember to accept the chevy mount but thats about it.
