i'm not asking about long tubes so don't say long tubes! what do you guys think would be better for me to get performance wise and overall, BBK tuned length ceramic headers ($400) or a nice CAI with maf ($380)

You can get the BBK's for $300 on e-bay (new) or FRPP shorties ceramic coated for $320

yeah i know the FRPP ones are cheaper in price but whats the difference between them and BBK? in MM&FF looking through the adds they are like 100 bucks cheaper than BBK but I wasn't sure if they didn't last as long or if they didn't give you good power gains. what would you recommend? thanks.

FRPP are stainless so they last for ever. I don't know about power gains. I'm guessing you will get more top end power than tuned length. I will go with BBK.
