V6 to V8 Swap
Hey all I'm sure that this has been asked about 5 dozen times but I was wondering is it feasible to go with a V6 mustang to start out then have a V8 (5.0/5.8) dropped into it later on or just stick with a V8, and mod that up? I want it to bemore of a road handler but still hold it's own against anything else it comes upto.I'm looking to the 1994-1998 body style, convertibleor hard top it doesn't matter.
Thanks for the help on this, H-

RE: V6 to V8 Swap
Well if you want it to be a twisty turny pony then stay away from the verts, they are heavier and flex more.
I would suggest starting with a V8 and modding that up until you are where you want to be. It will cost a lot and cause a lot of headaches to do an engine, trans, dirveshaft, rear end, engine wiring, K-Member, rear suspension, EEC wiring, dash wiring, transwiringconversion.
There is a lot involved in an engine swap.
For one of the best suspension kit around get the Grin in a box from Maximum Motorsports. Its damn near 5k but its well worth it.

RE: V6 to V8 Swap
start with a v8 if thats what you want
for less then a grand, you can take a 94-98 v6 and take the blower off of a tbird supercoupe, swap in some 3.73s and a detroit true trac, and do exhaust and you will be good for mid-high 13s
