I dunno why the factory didn't do it, probably to save costs and its not much of a concern for stock powered / stock tired mustangs. Don't bolt them in you might as well not have em on at all. Get them welded on it won't cost more than $50 Im sure.

I was thinking about making my own subframe connectors. Anyone have any ideas about that? This website shows exactly how to do this on a classic mustang: http://www.mustangandfords.com/howto/89059/ Looks like a good idea. I havent looked under my car closely enough to see how it would work for my fox body.

unless you are really good at metal working and have all the tools to shape metal, I would advise you buy a set of subframe connectors and install them yourself as the time spent making some will cost you more than just buying a set would if you place any value on your time at all.

It only cost me $20 to have mine welded in. It only took the guy about an hour to do it.
You could bolt them in and then take it to a shop to have them weld them to save some time.
