i just got a 5.0 and it seems to idle a bit high like 1100 rpms, is that normal idle for 5.0 ??? I had a 4.6 and that idled at only around 700. what do 5.0s usually idle at ??? I was thinking it could just be my idle control valve that needs adjustment. what do you guys think?

 

You're fine. However, if you'd like a lower idle check with your haynes manual to adjust the throttle cable to a lower idle setting. If I idle my car any less than 1200 rpm, it dies. Thas cuz of the cam, but what can ya do.
