WTF???????????

WTF???????????
So I was just out running some errands. I stopped at the car wash to vacum my car and decided to spray it off. All was good. I left and drove home (10 min. drive) when I got home I remember getting out the car and looking at the rear and thinking "LOL! looks like my car is lowered". Then I looked at the front wheel and it was at the normal stock height. WTF? So I went and looked at all the wheels and 3 are normal but the driver side rear looks like someone put a lowering spring on. Did my shock just give out? Can that happen? It was in a ten minute span that this occurred. I pray it IS just a shock. What other components in the rear suspension could cause an abrupt drop in ride height like that? Please help [>:]

RE: WTF???????????
If the shock goes out you will know it. Thats what it sounds like but I had an F350 that had two bad shocks and the front wheels hopped off the ground with every bump I hit. Also, the steering was really loose also.

RE: WTF???????????
shocks dont efect the ride hight at all when they go bad. Id check the spring to see if it broke. on my car when i put lowering springs on it i found that both front springs were broke. So that would be my guess

RE: WTF???????????
it's easy enough to pull the shock you think is bad and check it out. if it's real easy to compress compared to pulling it out, then replace it for sure. you might also want to take a close look at the entire rear suspension and make sure nothing else is broken or cracked like the control arms or torque boxes too.
