It's one of the best known ways to rip a 3650 out of a car.
It is done by holding down the gas pedal to the floorand using the clutch while shifting the transmission.When normally shifting the gears you release the gas just long enough to ease the shock on the tranny between gears.Powershifting is said to help out 1/4 mile times by around a tenth or two.

also known to tear out a 5 speed been there done that but does help when in a race lol

I remember the first time I ever power shifted (sept 1979). It was in a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner with a pistol grip shifter. What a rush. Pedal to the floor, never lifted thru all 4 gears. A rev limiter would come in handy for those that may be abit timid!![sm=smiley20.gif]
