K this is the first winter that ive decided to winterize my car. Is ther any special things you need to do or just park it in the garage and wait for the snow to come off?

completely drain and change oil and oil filter. put some high octane gas and something to evaporate any water in the engine and gas tank.. also, clean her up, put on some wax, and when spring comes.. Enjoy!

in addition, make sure the antifreeze level is up to snuff for the temps it will see, put some Stabil in the gas tank, remove the battery to a warm place or get one of the trickle battery maintainers and put it on the battery. doesn't hurt to jack up the car and put it on jackstands to keep the tires from sitting in one spot also. keep the windows closed too. you can also slack off the serpentine belt to take pressure off the accessory bearings in the water pump, alternator, etc. too. with the belt off, you can turn these by hand every so often to keep the bearings happier too. same deal with the wheels if you have it up on stands too. if you do ever start it up, let it run until it gets up to normal temperature so the exhaust systems gets hot enough to evaporate the water formed in it so it don't rust it out also. better to not start it if you don't intend to drive it around some.
