Default crate motors

I have heard mixed reviews about the reliability of crate motors so I was wondering what you all thought. I would love to throw a 5.0 crate motor in my 98 GT. Also, what is needed besides the motor, CPU, and tranny to complete the swap? Thanks. I was hoping to do this swap when I graduate from college.

Crate motors are the hottest thing going. It's a smart alternative to rebuilding old motors because it saves you the expense & time. I was going to rebuild the '68 302 I had in my car when I bought it and my mechanic/cousin said why don't you just throw a crate motor in it. I have had it now for 10 yrs and have never regretted it. I think it's the way to go.
