BIG wheels and tires!!!!!
Hello, I have a question I would like answered before I go out and just waste my money!
My ride is a 94 gt hardtop. Its been lowered with some kind of unknown spring. The springs are red. I dont think its reeeal low, but its definitely noticeable.
Question is, will a pair of 315/35/17 bfg drag radials fit back there?
Has anyone done this? I dont care about the width of the back rim. I can use a 9, or 10.5 whatever fits.
Please, anyone, tell me what ya know!!!!

your best bet to get something that will fit properly is to go to the local high performance tire shop in your area and talk to them about what they can do to measure your tire/wheel clearance and tell you what will work back there as far as wheel width and offset and tire size. remember most wheel places have a policy that if you mount it, you've bought it and if it don't fit, you're stuck paying for it anyway!
I know the wheels will fit, but i want the big meats on there.
I just thought maybe someone had done this setup before, so I wouldnt have to go through all the hassle of trying to measure the tires up with a 10.5 rim that I dont have.
Thanks for the input.

I read in 5.0 magazine that on the 94 up stangs that the exhaust determans how wide you can go. and also u might have to remove the quad shocks. So if u have a cat back exhaust u you might have problems with clearance there.
Yeah, I read that article too. My buddy said he put his 03 cobra wheels with the 315s on his buddys 95 gt. They didnt drive on them, but he said they fit.
Im not real sure if they will fit without a rubbing problem though.
The exhaust isnt a problem. I can always put some side exhaust, or some dumps up under there, although I think that the stainless tips out the back is somewhat of a mustang trademark.
