Default 351W Swap

Hello. I am new here, and since there is no Windsor page, I figured this would be the best place for this.

So hereI go....

...I am planning a v6 to 351w swap, andI was wondering if the front accesories from a 302 would work for the 351, because as far asI know the 351 is a 302 with a raised deck. So, I was wondering if they would work.

...I also want to do a 408 stroker kit, wouldI have to notch the block?

...Nitrous or Blower??

...Would a T5 hold up to to 408 Inches of Pain?

...Carb or fuel injected?

For the actual swap, the motor and tranny, i am looking to spend 3-5k, think this could be done?? Thanks for any help youse guys can offer!!

The first two, I can not answer, not a ford fanatic when it comes to tech.

Nitrous first, blower if you have the cash and build your motor (you'd better keep the nitrous on there too!). It's cheaper and gives the same friggin gains....

T5, like I said, not for Techie.

FUEL INJECTED!!!

5k for a motor swap is easily done, assuming free labor (you do it all)

YES IT WILL ALL WORK. MARCH MAKES SOME NICE BRACKETRIE THAT LOOSES SOME WEIGH AND LOOKS COOL. IT SHOULD SET RIGHT DOWN IN THERE JUST MAKES SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT OIL PUMP AND PAN. THEN HEADERS ARE ANOTHER FACTOR. PUT ELECTIRC FANS UP FRONT. ONE OUT OF A 99 MERCURY MYSTIQUE WILL WORK. THE TRANNY WILL HOLD UP TO EVERY DAY DRIVING BUT WHEN YOU MASH IT DOWN IT WILL PROUBALY WEAR OUT QUICK OR JUST COME APART. THE TRANNYS ONLY GOOD FOR TORQUE BELOW SAFELY 250 FT LBS. GO WITH A TREMEC.

No way in hell. You'll pay close to or more than 3k just for the motor. If you high miles on the T5, you'll need a better tranny, you'll need to do a rear-end swap, and countless suspension mods if you plan on ever hooking up, and you'll have to do something about feeding that 351w the extra fuel...

Forget the 351, drop in a 460. And screw the fuel injection, go with a carb. Sure it won't be as nice on cold mornings, but you won't have to fight with tuning it. Any dyno shop could dial it in.

frpp does make a braket kit to accept the stock 302 serp belt ,notch the block yes most 351 strokers at about 377 iches ive seen some notching ,i would say most likely youll be grinding. i say turbo , your gonna need a new trans if you can build one your self i seen some people that sell kits to make your t5 handle bout 600 i seen recently in a mag for about 1k in parts , but theres other places . and i would stick with FI. also i pretty sure your v6 k member will not fit any v8 , the older 4 cly stangs were ok not the 6 . be sure thou .
