Default Trunk Shocks not keeping trunk open

Hello Everyone! The problem i am having is that the trunk shocks are not holding up the trunk. Now it's not everytime, only sometimes. It happens in the morning, the evening when it's cold or hot; so it's not a situational time. Of course, like everyone elses, it's hard as heck to open the trunk. Sometimes it stays open with no problem, most times not so much. They are only a little over 1 year old to. Anyone have any suggestions? I know i can goto Advance and grab a new set for $50, but i'd rather not. Thanks!

If you want a cheap/free solution you can always take the spoiler off the trunk lid, making the lid lighter

If you find some shocks that LIFT the trunk let us know!

valves probably went bad in the lifts. Aftermarket ones tend to suck like that. You're going to have to pony up the cash and get new ones or deal with them the way they are.

I'm thinking about hooking an actuator to mine through the keyless trunk release. Pop the trunk minivan style.

..or do what my redneck neigbor does with his hood,, prop it up with a broom handle cut to size, or a hockey stick
