Default Supercharged Cobra Question

I have a question about my car cutting out. I have a 97 Cobra with a Vortech V-1 supercharger, and once the cars boost starts to kick in into the higher rpm range (6000rpm) the car just starts cutting out real bad and falls on its face like it hit a rev limiter.I needsome advice from anyonethat knows what could cause this. Thanks

Do you have a hand held tuner? The rev limit is prob set for 6100rpms. If you have a tuner, check it.

It tends to help us if you list your mods in your sig.

I dont believe its the rev limiter. When the car is parked i can give it gas all the way to 7200rpms with no problem, it only cuts out when the car has a load.

There areTWO rev limiter settings. One is for neutral & the other is for in gear. The one for "in gear" is the prob. I had my tuner hooked up yesterday & noticed the 2 settings. Even if they are different tuners it is prob same.
Good luck, i just hope is some thing as simple as that.

Ya my truck was the same way, feels like something really bad is going on with the engine, its just the limiter. My truck would actually flash the check engine light every once in a while cause it was going a lot faster then it was intended for, 140ish ^_^ ehermmmm On a closed track of course
