camshaft

RE: camshaft
I do not believe so. Yes, you can put a roller cam in a non roller engine by purchasing a roller conversion kit from Comp/Crane etc that has a roller cam/lifters. It has paired lifters with a link bar, and you have to make sure you get the right base circle so it fits in the cam bearings. If you call someone like Comp they can help you determine what part # you need. These setups are also very expensive from what I understand, the lifters are pricey.

Errr, correction, makesure the cam has the right base circle and that the cam journals are the same size(I dunno if they're different, but again, the cam companies know this stuff). As far as the base circle it might require different length pushrods as well(It's almost a garuntee it will). That's why the companies have kits
