Default Jack points / Jack stands

I went to put my 2002 Mustang up on jack stand the other day when I found a little problem.... The jack points in the manual are nice and small and jack sized (how convenient), anyway the problem is if I jack it up using the jack points where do I put the jack stands? is there another place to jack it up from?

I thought the torque box might be a good place to either jack it up from or put jack stand but when I was jacking it up it mae a rather unsettling noise I can't really discribe... maybe it was just the metal wheels on the jack pushing into/on the cement garage floor

Link to when i jacked my car up for winter storage..... https://mustangforums.com/m_293073/tm.htm

What are you putting up in the air for first? To do an exhaust or tranny work? Or just to jack it up?

Supporting the car by the axle and k-memeber are the best way. This simulates sitting on the ground. By the body if not support properly can tweak the uni body.

i would not recommend crawling under the car with it supported by the front k-member. The jackstands are very close together. If you need to go under out the front up on ramps it will make life a little safer.
