help with 5.0 drag suspension!
i think for now i want to run with enough bolt ons to hit 13s and some suspension work. but what should i do for suspension i want to have a really hard launch and really feel it. im getting subframe connectors. what about springs? what should i go with.. and should i remove the sway bar? whats it actually do etc.. any other things i should do.. ps i have to keep it at least semi streetable...
if you want a drag suspension i would go with eibachs drag kit as for the sway bar they just makes all the weight go to the rear and its really not streetable. I would also get a pinion snubber some upper and lower control arms and some some ET streets or a nice drag radial
don't forget subframes and i would also look into some sort of torque box reinforement kit too if you plan on lauching with some slicks or even some sticky radials
yeah im planning on running et streets on weld wheels.. i dont know its a hard choice between that and cobra r's, anyways yes im ordering subframes next week. lowering springs make it worse for a good launch right???
replace your front springs with some from a 4cyl cut down a tad, 70/30 struts in the front, no sway bar, control arms, and sticky tires. you'll feel it alright, should be able to launch off the rev limiter with slicks
well i have 4cyl springs i wanted to put on but someone on here told me it is a bad idea unless its a drag car only... like im going to be driving it pretty much a DD. would the 4cyl springs it bad for a dd?
My setup is great for launching.
Eibach drag launch kit
Sub Frame connectors
90/10 shocks
hotchkis rear suspension package (upper and lower control arms)
BFG Drag Radials
The car is definately still streetable, but for a daily driver I would go with 70/30 shocks. I've also heard that they make adjustable front shocks that go from 50/50 to 90/10 and anywhere in between.

All new springs designed for good launches. The right rear spring has an air bag in it that helps you launch straighter.
