Default How important are X/H pipes?

I was looking at this magnaflow exauhst here and was wondering, is buying an x/h pipe really necessary? does it add power also, or does it just add sound? if i were to buy one, it would be this one

if the X/H pipe has larger diameter exhaust tubes than yes it will flow better and add power. If it is an offroad version with no catalytic converters, it will flow even better and add even more power. So yes they add power.

aftermarket mid-pipes are one of the best mods you can do - both for power and for sound. you'd get probably twice as much power from a mid-pipe vs a cat back

A midpipe is the key to bringing out the power and sound in your catback. Period.

well the x-pipe won't help much unless the rest of the exhaust is 2.5 inch...as far as which is better there all about the same hp increase...

why is that site bad? and i would go with a bbk x-pipe, i don't see why someone would pay just as much for a mid pipe as they would a cat back even though they are better. BBK is like 200 bucks and is a main company in the mustang world and its stainless steal.
