I am about to purchase a 1986 mustang conv.
it was originally a 4 or 6 cylinder and has a 351 in it. it is not mounted yet, just sitting there . will this engine work with this car? what will I need to buy?

whole lot of things. need an 8.8 rear instead of the 7.5 it probably has now. also need stronger tranny, new driveshaft, larger front and rear brakes, springs, etc. but it will be worth it to get it in there and running. you also may need a new hood depending on the intake and whether or not it's carbed or FI.
