1) i was looking thru my 5.0 and MM&FF mags today and i read a Flaming River rack n pinion steering ad........now.....do they retain power steering ?? or do the quick ratio's make you have non-ps.

2) whats a good brand for a panhard bar ??? im gonna want one when i get everything ready....thanks.

 

the flaming river racks are pretty much always manual

 

I bought the Flaming River manual rack and pinion steering system so I could lose the weight of the power steering pump and the drag on the engine it causes. It's relatively easy to install and if you get the new steering shaft with it, you have a bulletproof manual steering system which takes only a little more effort to turn than the power system, but it ain't cheap! Course on the strip I ain't making lots of turns either! LOL

 

good panhard bars are made by Steeda, Maximum Motorsports, Griggs Racing, there are several companies.

 

Maximum Motorsports panhard bar is the best because of the amount of adjustment and thickness,you can even get it in aluminum.just my opinion Steeda is a good one also.Maximums bar mounts to subframe not to trunk area.
